Associate degree nurse supervising...

The nurse practitioner in a clinic? This sounds absurd to me. Thoughts?

Specializes in Geriatrics, Dialysis.

BY changing provider orders and/or writing orders herself without advanced practice   credentials she is well outside her scope of practice.  She should be swiftly reported to the state BON. If you have copies of your original orders as well as the revisions this nurse implemented that is plenty of proof that she is writing orders and practicing medicine without a license.  Please report her so the BON can begin an investigation. Hopefully, the BON acts before she causes harm to a patient.

OP claims over 30 years experience yet seems to have no idea how the legal structure of professional nursing works. Something's fishy here.

Definitely a questionable thread as a whole.

I just received a call that she is throwing away my standing orders because she doesn't agree with them! I'm going to administration next week. The rest of the staff are afraid of her!

Is this your first NP job?
