Curious as to why you downgraded/disagreed with my post? It was a statement of fact and nothing there that was "grumpy" or could be disagreed with.

I guess another Christian feels "persecuted" because you stated a fact. Hence, I will give you an upvote.

"Operative words there are "in the US." This is an international forum and osceteacher and myself are in the UK - unsure where other posters are from - and trying to proselytise and/or pray with patients in the UK can and will get you fired."

And that's why in 1776 we decided to leave 'bloody' England for our religious freedom, among other things! Thank you...

Not sure what that has to do with my comment which was a factual article about healthcare providers and religion in other parts of the world.

That nurse only told you partial truth. When the puritans left England for "religious freedom", they brought their persecution to the new continent. They persecuted witches and Quakers. Not mentioning Native Americans have also been their victims.

I know, but it I am amazed at the number of Americans who don't know their own history.

1776 was the declaration of independence which had very little to do with religion, whereas the pilgrim fathers were in 1620 and escaped "England" because they saw it as not religious enough.

Well, they are Christians. What can you expect from people who wish the apocalypse to happen so that they can unite with their god? These same people are crying wolves who scream persecution while persecuting other minorities.

It frightens me that many of these people are in a highly respected profession that values human dignity.

Most hospitals in America were started my Christians/ catholic nuns and they continue work as an extension of Jesus's love. This is true across all of the U.S. These hospitals have incredible cultures and missions that guide them. It's sad to see such contempt for such incredible historical systems and the people that support them.

The system is an object without feelings. I have no opinion about hospitals. My contempt is towards the people who made a claim to GrumpyRN that they left England for "religious freedom". I responded to him because I know that it is not the whole truth.

Even if everything you said is correct, that doesn't mean there was no Christian nurse who attempted to convert patients to Christianity even though they knew that the patients already committed to a faith.

Apparently you can simply brush off my statements and enjoy your echo chamber with your fellow believers.

I have evidence about such action from Christian nurses who you think are all wonderful and professional. I don't want to post it here because I don't feel the need to waste my time combating against people like you, who don't walk in minorities' shoes.

I said what I said as a response to GrumpyRN. I did not respond to other posters for a long while. I don't have the intention to debate with you. As a believer, you would not get it anyway.

I just love helping heal people and love people and love praying for people. I have a great little life with a wife and young children and an incredible devine calling/purpose. I don't live with anger or contempt in my heart. I just love what i do and am content and fulfilled. That's all. I hope everyone here has found the same.

Wow, a Christian who enjoys privilege for his religion wants to tell me about his biography.

This has nothing to do with my post. If I need to see a testimony, I know where to look at. Thank you very much.

Besides, it is very low of you to tell me about your divine calling. I am a Buddhist, not a Christian. Whatever calling you have with your deity is none of my business. As a Christian, you cannot help behaving like one (proselytizing to non Christians anytime you wish), can you?

What you label as anger and contempt is what I call righteous indignation, which I only have towards certain individuals with certain action at certain time.

I am content with what I have in my life. Because of where I came from and my experience as an immigrant in this country, I have to speak up when I see the opportunity.

In person, I simply walk away from believers like you with minimal effort. I live simply, and I prefer to keep it that way. Arguing with Chrsitians is something that I only did in the past as reluctant defense. I have stopped doing that for a long time.

Whatever "anger" and "contempt" you psychoanalyze me stays in this forum.

I am content with my off-social-media life. You don't have to teach me. Thank you.

That's fine. You are a Christian. Passive aggressive behavior and dismissiveness are what Christians are good at. I am used to such people with that saved-unsaved mentality. This is not the first time.

Fortunately, my family did not immigrate to a bible belt, so I am safe from the "true" Christians. Feel free to analyze me as much as you wish. You will help me greatly when I have something to share with my allies in the atheist and polytheist communities. It will help their cause and protect religious minorities like myself from the "true" Christians.

Atheists and polytheists already warned me about passive aggressive behavior among Christians. You simply helped me confirm that, so I have thank you for shredding my doubt about Christians.
