Asking for prayers: multiple nursing students died in car accident

Published

Today has been a very devastating day. Early this morning on the way to clinical some of my fellow nursing classmates were killed in a car crash. There was an 7-8 car pile up, but only the nursing students were killed. There were 7 students all together, 5 killed, 2 critically injured. This deeply saddens me because this was their first semester in the program. It was also their last clinical of the semester. I do not know the 5 students personally but it hits so close to home. My nursing school is very small and we are all like family.

I am posting this to ask for condolences and prayers for the families of these students. Please do not hesitate to post. We would all appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

:( This is awful news, my condolences!

I hope the families and people affected have a strong support network and can find peace.

I did hear about this and it has been weighing heavy on my heart ever since. This could have been me, or anybody. I just hate to see lives lost of people who have so much promise in their future. I send my prayers to the family, friends and classmates of each of these special individuals. I wish that I could say more or do more. I am sure that there are people in their community who will forever be touched by their lives.

As a dual graduate of GSU, my heart aches for my Eagle Nation family. Yes, we are a small, but strong community and through this tragedy, we will grow even stronger. I did not personally know my comrades, but pray for their peace in heaven. Once an eagle, always an eagle, and now those students have their wings.

Prayers and condolences to all of you

I am so sorry to hear this. My condolences to the classmates of the students, their families, friends and faculty.

How terrible! Keeping them, their families and loved ones in my prayers.
