They loved me. I'm perfect, the person they're looking for, just what they need - but HR insists they interview as large a pool as possible. That means, in this case, one other person. They hope this week.
Grrr!

I hate when that happens. Congrats on being "perfect" (giggles).... There are positions at the hospital that the "rules" state that they have to interview at a minimum of 2 candidates "unless" the opening puts patient safety at risk or if the position stays open for more than 30 days with a viable candidate ready and acceptable for the position.
Just think about how EXCITED you will be when the call and say "come to work." YAY!
GOOD LUCK... Who says patience is a virtue? Hah! Patients are patient, why should their nurses be?!

What's the job, Sue? I'm so happy for you!!!!
Clinical informatics - they want a nurse who can code.
Thanks.

you'll have it. Same thing happened to me last year with case management. There were two other applicants, neither one who worked at the hospital, and myself who had been doing the job as relief for a year. But they HAD to interview them anyway.

I am also happy for you! All I can say is that after I interviewed for my current job (that I love) 7 other nurses applied. My employer has a ploicy that they nedd to interview all qualified applicants. It took 9 long weeks. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

It is true, sometimes they interview people out of formality, but already have their minds set on who they want. I wish you luck! And, we'll beat them up if they don't take you.
Well, have you heard anything yet?
