Arkansas State University CRNA 2021

ICURN0731 ICURN0731 (New) New Nurse Student

Hello, I am applying to the Arkansas State University 2021 CRNA program. I noticed there hasn't been a thread started for this cohort yet. Anyone else applying??!

Is that the online program?

Right now the many classes are online, but this is not the usual case. I'm not sure of the plan when the new cohort starts in January 2021.

I applied for the January 2021 start cohort, anxiously waiting to hear back. Has anyone applied here before?

I knew a couple people who applied here before, and were accepted. They’re out of the program now.

I have a friend who started in January of this year.

Great! Do you know of anyone else applying? I’m anxious to hear about an interview.

@ICURN0731 I don't know of anyone else applying. I'm so anxious to hear back as well. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to hear back especially with COVID restrictions and what not.

I hope not too! I’m also curious if they still plan to start in January, like their website says, or if they’re going to push back the start date. I don’t know of anyone else applying either.

My friend who is in the program now and started in Jan said that she heard back end of July/beginning of August and her interview was at the end of August. I wouldn't be surprised if they pushed back interviews, though. Are you local to Arkansas?

I’m originally from MO, but moved down to Jonesboro last year. It was only a couple hours away, so not bad. What about you, will you have to move far?

I'm from New Hampshire, so it'll be a decent move! Would be 100% worth it, though.

WOW! that’s awesome!! Such a long way to move, but I agree. 100% worth it

I read earlier today that the deadline for AState was pushed back to September 1. I now have so many more curiosities and questions!

@ICURN0731 Really? I see it now on their website. Oh man, did they not have enough qualified candidates to apply by the initial deadline? I also have so many questions. Let the anxious waiting continue... 🤣

So update... haha! I just read on their website that their wording has changed yet again. It now states “Due to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the application deadline has been extended through September.” There is no longer a specific date for application. Also, under the description of the program, it states “Pending approval by the COA, the program plans to enroll its first doctoral cohort of students in 2021.” It sounds like they may have plans to move back the start date after January. Now I have even more questions and I see more waiting in our close future.

Has anyone heard about the CRNA stipend program for the Army Reserves? You will receive a monthly stipend while attending CRNA school of over $2300 a month and you will be an officer in the reserves after graduating?

hey guys anyone heard anything yet? is it too early?! a friend of mine got an email last week of a few documents missing

I also got an email to check with the registrar that they have all my requirements on file. But I haven’t heard anything else. Are you also applying? I did see where they’re still taking apps through the end of September, so I’m guessing we won’t hear anything until the beginning of October 😣
