Hello, I am applying to the Arkansas State University 2021 CRNA program. I noticed there hasn't been a thread started for this cohort yet. Anyone else applying??!
Yes it really is! I've spoken to some of the current students there. Of course, there are other expenses that are not explicitly on their site. But overall, it is the least expensive anesthesia school in the country if I'm not mistaken. Did you officially accept a position in your other preferred school? Congrats on that btw!

Had two friends do it. One did it through the Air Force, and he likes it so far. The other did the Army Reserves and regrets it. I didn't go into details with him, but he said he owes the army like 8-10 yrs if I'm not mistaken. He said it was nice to get a stipend during school, but the whole process was miserable.
You can go online or email a recruiter if you have specific questions. There's also lots of information on this site if you search for it.
Let us know how it goes!

Is the tuition really just $30k? That is unreal.
Wow! I had no idea it was that cheap! I got a call for an interview in sept too and have it scheduled for Oct 21st. I still have one document I have to send them today to finish out my application but they said I had up until my interview date to get it sent. I actually didn't send in all my other stuff until about the 1st or 2nd week of September when I found out they pushed back their deadline. I wonder how many they've had apply.
Looks like I'll be the only one sharing my interview experience ?.
It was nothing but personal questions.
"Describe how you study?"
"Do you deal with stress in a professional manner?"
"How have you prepared for this journey?"
"How do you feel about traveling to clinical...what makes you an ideal candidate for this program?"
That was it. Nothing clinical at all. This is round 1 btw. They will email us in a week or two for the next round if selected. Overall, the faculty seemed okay... I did feel kinda rushed, but that's because they're interviewing so many people.
Hope this info helps someone out.
