Hello, I am applying to the Arkansas State University 2021 CRNA program. I noticed there hasn't been a thread started for this cohort yet. Anyone else applying??!

Thank you for sharing! I had an interview last week with a different school that was 1.5 hour of nothing but clinical so I was still prepping for more clinical just in case but I'd be okay with it being more personal! How long did it last and what is round 2?  Also, did they say if this is still for a master's starting in January or are they still planning on doctorate and starting later?

For what it’s worth, mine lasted about 20minutes and I had a mix of personal and clinical questions from both interviewers.

No problem! Glad I can help.

They just said it will be a DNP (no more MSN) cohort tentatively starting May 21. They are accepting 30 students, and there'll be 2 rounds of interviews this year.

They also told me they have no intentions of an MSN, that it’s only DNP. I didn’t know how many they’re accepting and I didn’t know about the second round. That’s so interesting! I’m glad you guys are bold enough to ask questions! Haha I was too nervous for that. Mine was mainly personal but did have some mixed clinical questions. I hope everyone gets another email!

Hey all, I interviewed recently. Just curious how did they state the decisions would be made? I seem to remember them saying there was multiple groups which I took for all applicants were paired into a few cohorts and selections from each cohort would be made.  Did anyone get any kind of insight about the potential day they'd let us know anything?

Someone on here mentioned there were 2 rounds but when I asked them how they make decisions or when to expect to hear something they said they would take the scores and info from my interview and put it into their database and then do that with other interviews and run a data analysis to rank everyone then let us know something either way "within a few weeks"

So I guess that's about it, they told me three weeks and I interviewed a week and a half ago. Thanks for the confirmation.

I interviewed a week ago today and still keep periodically checking my email just in case. LOL I'm waiting to hear back from another school, too, so looks like I'll hear from both around the same time. ??

Given what you said it may just be they are interviewing two distinct groups to give themselves a chance to relax between interviews then select from the group based on interview scores.  Good luck with your other school too.
