Chamberlain June Orientation

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Who all is going to the orientation at Chamberlain in June for the July 09 start date?? :yeah::D

I moved from out-of-state and I don't know anyone!

I know a friend of mine applied but, she hasn't gotten any word yet. Have they done all of the selections yet?

I'm not sure but I think for the July program they have because I was told they would be selecting people up until May & they are doing schedules now so I think so.. but if your friend wants to start in August then I'm sure she'll get in..

She got in for July. She is so happy.

Hey just a word to the wise, I would be very leery of Chamberlain School of Nursing because not only does the Arizona Board of Nursing not recognize them as an accredited school of nursing nor does the state of Florida, Illinois and I don't remember their other state location. There are also no results of their nclex pass rates online (other than what their website says which you should take with a grain of salt). Not trying to knock their program but for the cost i would really say GO TO AN ACCREDITED SCHOOL FOR THAT COST.

I'm not sure who or where you heard that but Chamberlain is accredited. I did my research and I would def. not be paying the amount I am to a school that is not accredited. The AZBN does recognize this school and the website is http://www.azbn.gov/documents/education/Nursing%20Programs%20List.6.09.pdf

They have only been open in Phoenix since Jan 2008 so I'm not sure about the NCLEX but I'm going to keep looking on the net and will post when/if I find it. They are not very old here but I think they have been around for a while in other states li Illinois. Also another link on the Arizona Board of Nursing says,

Chamberlain College nursing program holds both NLNAC and CCNE accreditation. The website is http://www.azbn.gov/documents/education/Nursing%20Programs/Approval%20Accreditation%20Basics.2.09.pdf

Not to be rude, just after you posted that I wanted double-check for myself & find the information to make sure it was accredited and post so people know that is :wink2::wink2::wink2::wink2::wink2::wink2::wink2::wink2::wink2:

Sorry, but when I was looking at programs to attend I looked @ this webpage and Chamberlain was no where listed. I'm sorry if I was mis-informed, but if you look@ other states boards of nursing Chamberlain is no where to be found on their accredited programs either...

Also, from that web page you listed, what does "Provisional Approval: 11/2007" mean? (I see that all other programs say FULL APPROVAL?)

NVM I JUST READ WHAT YOU POSTED ;)

double post sorry

I've been looking and there are NCLEX results for the other states but since Chamberlain is only 1 year old in Phoenix there have not been any graduates yet so that is why there is no NCLEX results yet for the Phoenix location... The students are just now on year 2..

Specializes in Cardiac Care.

If you look it shows that Pima Medical... which has been around awhile is listed as Provisional too. I think its due to NCLEX scores? Since Chamberlain is new they don't have batches of NCLEX scores to report yet they may not satisfy FULL Approval requirements until they have consistant NCLEX results?
