Im wanting to do the CEP and im wondering what schools you chose and why?

If you are in it now are you happy with your choice?

Thank you. Any other advice welcome.

I heard "critical thinking" can be an extremely time consuming course depending on your instructor. I am hoping my experience is pleasant, but I am prepared for the worst....just in case. I am glad to be taking it by itself and before block 1 begins.

I'm taking that class right now! Yep - it's a lot of work! I put in about 30-40 hours a week, I would say. But it is interesting and I think it does teach you to think differently, so it's worth it!

Capstone is your final project for your bachelor's degree. It is basically a 2-semester research project. I was told we get to pick a topic pertaining to an improvement we would like to implement in our field of study. I am sure someone who has completed this can chime in with more detail. I wouldn't worry too much about it now....we have 4 blocks of nursing school to focus on first. Good luck all!!

Yep - I'll worry about that when the time comes - way too much to focus on right now! LOL!

I finished the ADN portion early because my school offered block 4 over the summer. I have graduated and passed NCLEX :) now I just have the rest of my BSN with UIU.

How fair did you feel the grading was with UIU? Did you feel it was too tough, too lenient? About right?

That's awesome! Congrats on passing the NCLEX...so are you working now? How much more do you have to go on UIU?

I start my job at the end of this month. I have about a semester and a half to go with UIU.

I felt it was fair. Some instructors were tougher than others, but for the most part it's fair.

How exciting! Congrats! I won't ask specifically where, but can I ask what department you'll be working in? You must be thrilled and nervous all rolled into one!

I landed my dream job in the Medical ICU. I already worked at the hospital as a PCA so that made it easier.

Fantastic! How wonderful for you!
