Arghh, am I the only one is tired of systematic cheating

CEUs, BLS/ACLS renewals, and general state requirements you name it. Cheating, cheating, and more no shame cheating. Am I the only one who finds it disturbing and is the problem as systematic as I believe it to be?

I am NOT COMPLAINING about myself or anyone else. I'm describing a situation and informing others that things like this DO actually happen. The first several responders seemed to believe that the OP was dreaming up an impossible situation. I'm not sure how much more clear I can make it.

I think I may have mis-understood your intent ... the OP was complaining about cheaters and I thought you were joining her in her complaint. If you weren't complaining about cheating, then I apologize. I thought you were joining the OP in complaining about cheating.

OK, I see what you're saying now ....it seemed like I was complaining about the instructor and ignoring my own behavior? That would be pretty outlandish and irritating. I honestly had no idea where the "complaint" idea was coming from. My intent was simply to validate what the OP was saying because people didn't seem to believe that it was possible.

Well...at my facility, we regularly get thick packets of info with an attached quiz. Typically someone will fill out an answer sheet and everyone will make a copy or copy it down. I always intend to read the packet later but almost never get around to it.

Thanks, Sour Lemon. I am happy to see that we can "play nice" with each other. I have seen your posts on other threads and usually agree with you. I didn't want to get into a fight with you. Thanks for remaining open and understanding.

Same here! I can be quite direct, but I disagree with "things", not people. Very rarely is anything personal, for me. I'm not much of a fighter, although I'm well aware that I'm sometimes perceived as one. :p

I have heard of instructors that will hand out the ACLS card for payment. Sorry, I'd rather renew it at work for free.

Then maybe you should turn in your BLS card to your employer and tell them what happened if you feel so horribly. You were an active participant.

If you use the quote button in the bottom right corner, people will know (for sure) who you're responding to. But if you're responding to me, my situation happened about six years ago and I've had several renewals since then. I also don't feel "horribly".

I haven't seen cheating, except in stupid ones like annual HIPAA renewal, disaster preparedness, how to suck up to patients and their families, all the online, repetitive crap we get over and over these days that doesn't affect our day to day jobs. Then, people will exchange answers at the nurses station openly.

I'm disappointed to hear people are cheating on the important stuff like ACLS.
