Please give a shout out if you are a grammar or spelling cop!
My two biggest pet peeves on here:
(1) Definately
(2) HIPPA (I have been known to publicly reprimand the offenders!!)
There are others, but enough for now ... what are YOUR contributions? I know your out there (and YES I did that on purpose) ...

hanging my head in abject shame... you got me!
if i'm no longer fit to edit, it's reassuring that i can still be half a successful comedy duo!
it's always good to have a plan b! but... if you had said " i can still be one half of a successful comedy duo", the sentence would have been better, grammatically!!!
only messing with you!!!!
check this out:
now i think that i have seen it all! this was copied from a job description on a very well respected hospital's career website. i am only showing the part with the error, but every job posted with this description for nurses has the same mistake.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i know you were just messin' with my mind and that's fine, but since the stroke physically disabled me and i can no longer be a psych nurse, silly things like this just serve to remind me that neither my mind
or my typing skills are as sharp as they were before. oh well...
i'll bet if i make another spelling error, a typo, or similar goof, the grammar police will come and repossess my b.f.a. and m.f.a. degrees.
this thread has been fun!

but it drives me absolutely bonkers when my husband (who has a doctorate-level education) continues
to pronounce the very very basic word toilet incorrectly. not toy-let but ter-let...
 aarruuuggghh!!!
 oh no! i married archie bunker!!
does he also say "warsh" as my mid-western-born husband did? it took about 30 years, but i finally got him to say "wash".
The pharmacy where I get my prescriptions has a sign at the start of the line that says something to the effect of stand back until you are called, and it says it is due to "HIPPA Regulations." On a printed sign. In a pharmacy. Every time I go I think about bringing them a new sign with it spelled correctly!
