Are there any Oklahoma ABSN students out there?

I would like some information on the program, how do you like it? Would you pick this school again if you had the chance? I am applying to the program that is being held here in San Diego. I am nervous about the online portion of the program, is it do-able? :uhoh3:

fyi: i finally heard back from the needlestick people...here is their response:

please be advised that the summer enrollment for the needlestick coverage will be available next week.

the summer coverage period begins 6/1/08 and ends 8/14/08. to continue the needlestick coverage for the 2008/09 policy year, you will need to re-enroll in august.

please do not hesitate to contact us with questions or if you need additional information. thank you for allowing us to assist.

I called after the Open House and they said that award letters would go out after May 1st. Hopefully we'll know by next week :-)

Hi There! I applied to the June start as well, but I'm on the alternate list. I did go to the Open House last week & the program seems awesome! Has anyone heard about the clinical schedules from any of the OU faculty? It's been such a pain trying to guess my schedule! Especially since I'm an alternate! All I was told is that I will find out sometime before May 13th!

I haven't heard a word yet, and its driving me crazy! The orientation is next week so I'm hoping we hear from them soon. I'll let you know if find out more. Did we need all of the vaccination, background check paperwork by May 13th or by the end of May?

It was my understanding that they would like for everything to be done by May 13th, but that it needs to be done prior to June 2nd, or we would be kept out of clinical rotations. The "alternate" status is driving me crazy too! I just want to know one way or the other. Are you planning on applying for August, just in case?

Yeah, I plan on applying to the August program as well though everyone says its impacted already. I figure it doesn't hurt to try again, and at least the last of my prereq grades will be in by that time so hopefully that will help. But ideally, I'd love to start in June. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Has anyone heard from financial aid yet? I am hoping the letter will be in the mail box today, I'm starting to get nervous about fees for June!! :uhoh21:

I haven't heard about financial aid but the online health insurance waiver is available.

I don't think any of you are taking prereq right now but do any of you remember the date Kenessa said she needed the letter from our professors by? If I am correct she said the week of May 26th, that Friday, by noon?

Also, did anyone fill out the waiver? which year did you select? 07-08? or 08-09?

i havent heard from financial aid either. hopefully, we'll hear from them soon because i want to get that set up ASAP! for the insurance waiver, i'm going to put 08-09.
