Are there any Oklahoma ABSN students out there?

I would like some information on the program, how do you like it? Would you pick this school again if you had the chance? I am applying to the program that is being held here in San Diego. I am nervous about the online portion of the program, is it do-able? :uhoh3:

Sooo, is everyone all super busy still getting all this stuff done?

I still need my BLS CPR class taken care of and that'll be on Friday and I go to my primary on Monday for my Hep B vacc.

And I still need to turn in my Financial Aid letter signed... Evidently that's the last thing I need to do and I'm taken care of for that, phew. DH keeps asking when I'll get the money, haha.

We don't turn in anything to OU for our drug/background screen right? Quest gives it directly to them?? I cant remember where I wrote all that info down... darnit.

Congratulations on getting in! I am planning to apply to the Fall 09 program and am wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing your GPA so I can get an idea of where I stand. No pressure if you are not comfortable sharing, but I would appreciate it! :wink2:

I was accepted for this semester but will not be able to continue because right before having my vaccines my doctor gave me a pregnancy test because my husband and I weren't preventing it and ....I am pregnant so no vaccines which means no school...very bitter sweet but definitely worth the wait.

My overall GPA is a 3.85 and my last 60 units was a 3.97 and my science was a 3.87. I think that's the way that they check your GPA according to my advising appointment.

mrscarina; Have you checked with the school to see if you can sign a waiver to opt out of the vaccines for now? Some schools allow that option for certain conditions like pregnancy.

Yes, I asked the adviser and she said it was a no. It is such an accelerated program that you start the clinicals right at the starting gate and you have to be immunized. I think I may apply for a different program for noe just to see when I can start soonest but chances are I will end up having to wait until next Fall :crying2:

I don't mind... grades are grades and are all dependent on where and when and who you took the classes with....

My pre-req GPA was 3.82 (I got two Bs one in English II and the other in US Gov)

My Science GPA was 4.0, and my last 60 was 3.81. My undergrad GPA was BAAAAD. we won't even talk about it. :)
