ARC / SCC Fall 2017

Hello everyone. I wanted to start a discussion for people who have applied to ARC , SCC, or both for the fall 2017 class. Applications for both schools are due at the end of the month. I applied for both, praying I get excepted. Anyhow, say hello and stay in touch with updates, info. Etc....

Anyone else not receive any notification from SCC?

I received my rejection letter at 2:01pm yesterday (4/19). You said it was your first time applying right? Maybe check your Los Rios GMail just in case (if you haven't already). I'm sure most of us link our School GMails to our main emails so we automatically get the emails.

Just curious, but what is the schedule like for the first semester?

You can pull it up on losrios.edu.....at ARC-search nursing for Fall 2017. It looks like the days are Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri. Times range from 6am- 3:40pm with one lab section in the late evening from 2:30 pm- 11:40pm. Hope that helps!

I was looking at the schedule but it's so confusing. I noticed there is a lot of same data being repeated. Also the lab ending at 11:30 is that on Wed?

How did your first semester go ? Is it really as crazy as they say? Or is actually doable? How many hours a day do you spend on schooling (class,hw,clinicals)

Hi everyone! First semester student here from ARC. First of all good luck to everyone. The schedule at ARC for first semester is a little confusing when you look at in on eservices. Here is how the schedule works. Exams on Mondays typically around 0900. We had a total of 4 exams not including the final, roughly every 3ish weeks. Lecture is every Tuesday am from 730 to 1140 ish. Lab/clinicals are Thursday and Friday. We had 4 groups for clinical with 3 having am shifts from around 0600 to 1430 and then we had a pm group which was from 1430 to 2330 ish. For the first few weeks you are on campus at the lab learning some of the skills you will need for clinical and that means everyone is there at the same time which is 0630 to 1500 ish.
