ARC/SCC ADN FALL 2019

Hi Everyone!!! I didn't see a thread for Fall 2019, so I figured I'd get the ball rolling. This is my first time applying to both SCC and ARC. I turned in my paper packets on 2/11 and 2/13. SCC updated my status to received this morning. I plan to also apply at Delta, but would really prefer acceptance at ARC or SCC. 

Has anyone who is accepting SCC offer picked up their packet? I’m going tomorrow to submit my paperwork but anxious to know if there are any important dates or deadlines coming up? Thank you!!

I went earlier today the most upcoming deadline is mandatory orientation which is May 17th , also before orientation you need show proof you have purchased $31 from the business office which includes and badges. So before orientation you need to bring the receipts for that as well as 2 colored passport pictures.

Hope this helps get an idea!

Crap!!! I’m leaving for a trip the 17th. What time is the orientation? Thanks for such a quick response. Excited to meet my future classmates!!!

I go to SCC and haven’t heard much about ARCs program in comparison.

Staff at one of the hospital sites told me they prefer to hire students that didn’t go to Sierra because they do clinicals in Roseville where the patient population isn’t as diverse. Students in Sacramento area hospitals are exposed to more and they felt they were better prepared.

Yeah no problem ! Says orientation is May 17th from 9am to noon.

First semester was Kaiser, Mercy and UC Davis. A third of the class at each. All in Sacramento.

Does anyone know how many ARC accepted off of the waitlist last Fall? I don't want to get my hopes up, if it's not realistic. I don't want to go through the same thing I did for Sac State last summer.

I do not know but I will be denying my offer to ARC.

I was also selected as Alt. to ARC Fall 2019. I walked in earlier this week to turn in my intention to be placed on Alt. list and spoke to someone at nursing dept. She explained that last semester (Spring 2019) ARC nursing went through the entire Alt. list and had to choose an additional five. She did emphasize that every semester is different though. I found out that my placement on Alt. list (# 15) is at the very most bottom, last place :(

I just got the email that I have been moved from the alternate list to the class roster for arc!!! Woohoo!

Congrats Mrs.Perseverance ? . . surprisingly I also received an email this afternoon that I will be moved from Alternate List to Roster! for Fall 2019.
