No, the meeting was to let current students know how we will proceed next semester, which is an unknown at this point. It wouldn’t make sense to admit another 1st semester cohort when they already have one. If they did then in the Spring we would have 5 cohorts, and we simply don’t have enough instructors or clinical spots for 5 cohorts.

I know it’s extremely upsetting for everyone. I had to wait 3 application cycles to finally get in and now have to repeat an entire semester. We are all looking for crumbs of info, in fact, I was stalking this thread and had hope for next semester when you all said your applications were being updated to qualified! I thought “there must be hope for us too!”

You're right, it wouldn't make much sense to have two 1st semester cohorts, clinicals would be a nightmare. I am sorry to hear that you have to start again in your current semester. I wish there was something that could be done for you guys regardless of me wanting to get in this year.

I am honestly not worried about me getting in, I have a great job that I love, it was just my turn to go to school after he graduated in December and I was hoping it would be this fall. I'll just wait patiently for the school to make a decision on what they will do with our applications and hope for Spring.

I wonder what the 4th-semester Professors will do when the current 4th-semester graduates? Are they off until next Spring?

Hey guys. I'm happy I found this thread. I was in the other SCC/ARC one, but this seems to have much more info. Thank you, everyone, for providing what updates you do have. I'm surprised they already sent results for the LVN-RN bridge, but I'm guessing it's because it works completely differently? I'm OK with being told that they can't accept a cohort this semester or that they need to postpone until Spring, but I just wish we were told something. I hate being in limbo, but I know things change daily and it's hard to plan anything at all right now.

The LVN-RN bridge joins the RN students in 3rd semester. If ppl fail or drop out in 1st or 2nd they fill their spots in third semester with LVN students. They do a clinical class over the Summer and. then start in 3rd.

Oh OK, that makes sense. Thanks for the info!

There are 3-4 teachers retiring this semester and so the the 4th semester instructors will be filling those spots from what I’ve heard.

I hope they keep our applications for Spring 2021 round then like Santa Rosa Junior College is doing. If not, I hope they would at least refund us on TEAS transcripts.

It would be nice. You paid for your TEAS transcript for ARC? I know SCC required it upfrobt, but ARC does not require official transcript unless you are accepted. Honestly, I wish more schools would adopt that model.

Still waiting for my application status to change from received to qualified or unqualified.. Anyone else still waiting?

Not sure what number I was cause I mailed in my app but last name starts with F and status was updated to received on 2/24 meaning they had received my supporting documents.

WOW!, I just got the email also. Thanks for the update! I understand pushing the start date back since current nursing students will be repeating their semesters but I wish they would have kept the same notification date for the applicants?

I completely agree! I don't mind starting in January, but now we have to wait until September to even know if we're in or not? Ugh ☹

At least by September, most people would have been accepted into other programs so it would have less people in the pool.
