ARC Fall 2020 Lottery

Hello!! I am starting a board for this application period as there was not yet one started. Let's encourage and support each other through this process. Good Luck!!

Yes! Exceptions were made for some programs. We have lecture online and we can use the sim lab and obviously still go to the hospital for clinical. Actually we are going to finish the semester too (they extended it into Summer to give us time to complete our clinical hours)! The only semester not moving forward now is 1st due to their lack of clinical time.

Yay! This is awesome news! I'm so happy for you guys! That must be such a relief knowing that you don't have to repeat the entire semester after all. That is great. I was concerned since Fall was going to be online that it would push you guys to Spring and next cohort to next year. Thanks so much for the update!

Hello everyone! For those of you who applied to Fall 2020, are anyone of you NOT planning on attending in the Spring?

I wish they would notify us sooner than September 1st so that we can make other arrangements. ?

I would attend if accepted into the Spring cohort. I have been acceptance elsewhere and will have to move for that program.

I emailed asking them if they could choose candidates after updating applications in June. September is way too long to wait to hear back. I would email them if I were you, maybe they would be more willing if more people expressed the same concern

I did email. Here is their response regarding the announcement on Sept 1:

As of right now, it won't happen earlier but later is a bigger possibility.

I don't have a problem with starting in the Spring. But I wish they would let us know sooner also..

Well that's a bummer. I too have no problem with starting in Spring but it would be nice to know so we can plan accordingly.

I do not plan to attend in the Spring. I got accepted to a program this Fall and I'm afraid to risk waiting for ARC, especially with the lottery. I'm also waiting to hear back from other programs this Fall that are hopefully closer to home.
