Do you use them at your workplace? How much do you use them?

We use them often for our pp moms with back pain.

Who wants to know?

I want to know. It is useful to know. I ordered one to demonstrate to my students, and it is EXPENSIVE! I hope it is worth it for them to practice with !

We used them in the 25 years that I worked, but my group does clinicals in the nursing home and they are not used much with fragile older skin.

We use them, didn't realize that was the name until I googled it. If a patient has back or neck pain I'll frequently ask for an order for one. Once the order is put in the storeroom brings it up to my floor all setup- I just have to plug it in. The providers are always thrilled when I ask for one to be ordered since I'm trying non-pharmacological measures, but I know how much heat helps me when my neck/back are acting up so I always encourage patients to at least give it a try.

Yes, we use them but not too much. I honestly don't remember the last time I saw one. It's easier to make a heat pack with super hot water, washcloths, two ziplock bags, another plastic bag sealed with silk tape and placed in a pillowcase. They work far better than the K Pads.
