APU 2+2 SUMMER 2019

Published

Hello, I just wanted to start a thread for APU 2+2 SUMMER 2019 cohort. That way we can all share admission experience, interviews, and acceptance. I turned in my application the beginning of January. Anyone else applied for this program and cohort??

I’ve been accepted too! I’m actually an alternate for summer if not then I’m guaranteed a spot for the fall.

See! Your answer comes sooner than you think! Congrats! You are going to love the entire journey of becoming a nurse especially with the staff at this campus ?

Hi, guys. I was just curious about how long your commutes will be. I currently go to school on APU’s Azusa campus and live off campus with my parents. I was thinking of moving to the San Bernardino area (about 30 min drive), but am considering to just commute from Azusa (54 minute drive without traffic) because I would save money that way. Do you think almost an hour drive to the High Desert campus would be too much of a commute/stress as a nursing student? Also, what areas did you do clinicals in? During my interview, I was told that the clinical sites were pretty local to Victorville with an exception of the Peds rotation in Palmdale.

Hi. I am thinking about applying for Fall 2019 and was wondering what GPAs do you guys have?

I highly recommend relocating to the high desert area if possible. Most places to rent if you group up with other members of your cohort, are quite affordable. The commute is very variable especially once you get to the pass. If there’s one accident on that part of the freeway, you’re late. Yes most of the clinical are mostly in the HD but some can be in LA and or “down the hill” as they say which is anything at the bottom of the cajon pass. Sometimes people from the campus are renting rooms so you can always call and ask Margie or someone if they know of any rooms for rent. ?

Hello! I was accepted for Summer admissions into the Victorville 2+2 BSN program. I’m looking for any students who are serious about having a roommate while enrolled in this program. I live in Placentia currently, and don’t want to commute to Victorville everyday. I would like to split an apartment with someone in the program if possible. Please let me know if you’re interested.

Hi also will be commuting from Glendora I feel like the drive isn’t too bad but like someone said the cajon pass can be questionable you just never know. I am kinda interested in possibly rooming with one or two girls...
