Hey guys, I spoke to my program rep because I wanted to know when we would register for classes and he said everything (admissions, orientation date, possible schedules) should be out at the end of this month. So hang in there! Probably a couple more weeks!

FAFSA, CALgrant, and federal loans will not cover the entirety of the program— especially if you decide to board. I am going to rely on private loans as well as financial aid.

I actually had all my prerequisites satisfied. I applied one semester before, but I still had Microbio in progress, and they said they do no consider applications if a student still has a science prerequisite in progress, but I believe they still consider a student if it is a non-core class in progrsss.

Hi! My gpa when I applied was 3.8 with a science gpa of 3.5, which is what they look at. I have clinical experience working in long term care facilities and hospitals during summers. I was a CNA and volunteered quite a bit.

Also, I’m open to room with a pair of girls to save even more money.

I believe our deadline for the application was Feb 1. I got a phone call for an interview for March 5, and heard a decision on March 20. It’s a pretty quick process. You should hear within a couple of months, but I am not sure how fall admissions work.

Hi, guys. I was just curious about how long your commutes will be. I currently go to school on APU’s Azusa campus and live off campus with my parents. I was thinking of moving to the San Bernardino area (about 30 min drive), but am considering to just commute from Azusa (54 minute drive without traffic) because I would save money that way. Do you think almost an hour drive to the High Desert campus would be too much of a commute/stress as a nursing student? Also, what areas did you do clinicals in? During my interview, I was told that the clinical sites were pretty local to Victorville with an exception of the Peds rotation in Palmdale.
