APU LVN to BSN Spring 2021

Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

Has anyone else applied for APU LVN to BSN program or is in the process of applying? I know the deadline is October 1st. I thought I'd start a forum.

I've been looking for a thread for Spring '21, glad you started it! I submitted my application a few days ago. Que the anxiety ? how about you?

I applied at the beginning of this month. I finished all my pre-requites and completed the 48 units just this Summer. I was a tough semester for me as I did 14 units to try to make the application deadline and thank God I did. Now the waiting begins. I hope I get in. I hear it can be pretty tough.

Hi there!! I just submitted my application as well. Just received an email this week asking which location was my first choice. Are they still doing interview(asking due to covid)?

I got the same email a couple of days ago. The last rep I spoke to over the phone in August/Sept said they wouldn't be conducting interviews. I'm hoping that means decisions are made sooner rather than later ?

Hi guys. Yes, I got the email as well. I’m kind of glad that we have more options now. Apparently only 1 application per campus was allowed before. So which campus was your first choice?

Yay no interviews! I’m excited to hear back. . My first choice was Monrovia and second choice was inland empire.. im open to either one. Does anyone know how the classes are during the first semester? Do we go all 5 days? My rep told me it was full time Monday to Friday but I’ve heard it’s only twice a week from other people.

I think initially it is 2 times a week. Right now though everything is being done remotely. Clinicals are being done virtually.

I chose the same! ALMOST considered high desert as a third option but I'm not down enough for that drive LOL

I'm hearing it's twice a week too. I actually found someone on Youtube who's documenting his experience of getting accepted for the current semester -- perhaps a bit too much but it's super helpful for a bit more info on how things are run. Just search APU nursing and he should pop up.

Virtual clinicals?? How does that work?

I’m not down for the drive to the high desert either. No thanks. ?

I applied to the Inland Empire campus, then Victorville 2nd and 3rd Monrovia. I got to keep my options opened. I’m not really sure how it works. But that’s what I was told.

I applied to the Inland Empire as well but open for any campus. I just want to finish this RN so I don't mind driving to any campus.
