Hello! I submitted my application 2 weeks ago and received a call today for an advising appointment. I live in Northern California and will have an interview via Skype. Any advise?
interview was pretty short, i showed up a little earlier as told and finished my prompt at 1 pm exactly, which was the time i had to meet my advising professor. She was very very sweet and told me briefly how the program is like (15 month before NCLEX etc), which i pretty much knew from all the research i did reading every forum and APU ELM website. Nothing intimidating at all. I just don't know where I stand since I wasn't told my points based on their point system. She said we will be notified after august if i remember correctly. She mentioned that for every seat there is 5 applicant at all the campus. Lastly, she said there is a chance of getting waitlisted, which they only have 5 people for each campus; getting waitlisted means you are guaranteed admission but just for the next term instead of the one you applied.
@wenann...oh whew..that's good to hear. she didn't ask you any questions as far as why you wanted to be a nurse? did she go over your transcript or anything like that with you?
Excited to have found this thread! I have also applied for the Summer '15 program at the Main Campus. I am expecting a call this week to schedule my advising session. It's nice to read others' experiences and to know I'm not in this alone! Best of luck to everyone. Hopefully many of us will be classmates come 2015.
