Hello everyone,

I am in the process of applying to APU ELM program for Spring of 2019. I was just looking to connect to other applicants. I will be applying to the main campus. If anyone has any questions feel free to post, I have found the older forums from previous cohorts to be very helpful when looking for advice.

@hca4Actually, a program representative from Azusa called me after I received my letter just to let me know that under normal circumstances I would have been accepted, but they just had like 3 times the normal amount of applications for Fall 2018. He encouraged me to reapply so that's why I'm reapplying. Plus I really like Azusa's program. I finished all the prereqs except ochem/biochem, which I'm taking this semester. Your GPA is amazing! My undergrad wasn't that great, so it pulled my overall gpa down. That's awesome though!! You've definitely got a shot with your GPAI do recommend volunteering or job shadowing if you can just cuz it gives you such a good head start at breaking into the medical field.
@somedayfnp Thank you! I really appreciate your help. Best of luck, I'm sure you'll be getting some good news soon!

Thank you!! You'll get in too! That GPA is hard to beat!

@aschreiman I applied to the IE campus but I also did not have the option to select more than one preference. Did anyone else have this option?

Hi everyone! I'm also one of the applicants from Fall 2018 that did not get accepted. I'm resubmitting transcripts for final grades from the fall semester, so my application is almost complete. Good luck to everyone!

My stats are: 3.6 science GPA, 3.5 nonscience, 2.9 bachelors GPA in exercise physiology, 1000+ hours paid patient care hours, and I am currently working as a medical scribe/medical assistant at a dermatology office.

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently in the process of trying to apply to the Azusa location, but I had a couple questions about transcripts.

1) Did you guys send official transcripts by mail or is electronically okay as well?

2) And did you send it to....

Grad and Professional Admission

APU-San Diego Campus

PO Box 7000

Azusa, CA 91702-7000

or

Graduate Admissions

Azusa PAcific Univerity

PO Box 7000

Azusa, CA 91702-7000

I'm leaning towards option B, but I just wanted some clarification because I know the site says

Graduate and Professional Center

Office of Graduate and Professional Admissions

Azusa Pacific University

PO Box 7000

Azusa, CA 91702-7000

Thank you in advance!!

I had my schools mail them to the 2nd one you typed. My schools already had APU put in I just made sure it had the PO BOX 7000 and had graduate admissions on it

@Motivated05 I believe my transcripts were sent to option B via mail. I did my undergrad in the midwest but they arrived to Azusa pretty fast. Good luck!

BTW- Does anyone know how long it usually takes admissions to go through the applicants and schedule interviews? A few months?

When I asked when should I expect to hear from them about an interview and I was told after the deadline. Maybe those that have applied before know more?

Let's see, the application for fall 2018 was due Nov 1 and they called me like the first or second week of November to schedule an interview so it shouldn't be too long after the deadline that we hear back!

I bet we hear about interviews by the end of February

Awesome! That's way faster than I was expecting.

Does anyone have any idea how many students are applying for Spring 2019 San Diego campus?
