Hello everyone,

I am in the process of applying to APU ELM program for Spring of 2019. I was just looking to connect to other applicants. I will be applying to the main campus. If anyone has any questions feel free to post, I have found the older forums from previous cohorts to be very helpful when looking for advice.

It was for the San Diego campus

Gosh darn it! San Diego is always ahead of schedule

But congratulations!! I just hope the main campus will be ready to grant interviews soon!

I also got a call today for an interview with the SD campus.

Does anyone have feedback on what the essay is like for the interview? Does everyone get a different topic?

Did anyone get an interview for a campus other than San Diego?

Can anyone who went through the interview process tell me what type of person they are looking for? I am still finishing my undergrad (graduate this May), but I am planning on applying to Fall (& maybe Spring) application cycles. What is their average GPA/ what kinid of volunteer work (if any) are they looking for.

I have yet to take anatomy & phys or the biochem (which I would take if I got accepted). I plan on taking these both this summer before I apply. Also for undergrad GPA do they look at cumulative or last 60 units. I have ~3.7 in my non-science prereqs and an A in micro. My undergrad gpa so far is 3.2. I am in the process of getting my CNA certificate, which would give me a little over 100 hrs of clinical work and I am also doing an internship at a hospital.

Sounds like you're a competitive candidate! I say do your best to get good grades in your prereqs and get as much exposure to the healthcare field as you can. I'm not 100% exactly sure what they're looking for. Maybe persistence? Lol as many of us on here are on their second time around applying for Azusa. But I bet they wanna see just the standard stuff like a good work ethic, being passionate about the field, being motivated and dedicated, and showing you're academically able to handle the rigor of the program. All of which are qualities I'm sure you have! And you're off to a great start with your stats! Just keep up the hard work and it'll pay off.

Hi Everyone,

Just an update for Main Campus. I was told the school of nursing reviews applicants 1-2 months after the Feb. 15th deadline. Looks like March and April to schedule interviews. Good luck!

This might be a dumb question, but I am a bit confused. On the website there is four locations: Azusa (main), IE, San Diego, & Monrovia. However, on the application there are only 3 location options (Azuza, IE, SD). I've seen on the forums that people refer to the Monrovia campus as the main campus? Can someone clarify since I thought these were all separate or do they just refer to both as main campus' since they are both close to eachother? Thank you!

I'm also unsure. I assumed main campus and Monrovia were the same

I read on one of the brochures that where sent to me that for main campus the first two years are at the monrovia campus, the BSN portion. The MSN portion is at the main campus.
