Hello everyone,

I am in the process of applying to APU ELM program for Spring of 2019. I was just looking to connect to other applicants. I will be applying to the main campus. If anyone has any questions feel free to post, I have found the older forums from previous cohorts to be very helpful when looking for advice.

Has anyone interviewed at the SD campus yet for Spring 2019? If so, can you please share your experience?

I am interested in learning more about the length of the program. All is know is the BSN portion is 15 months but there is not much information in regards to curriculum for the MSN portion. I did see that there is an option to complete either part-time or full time.

No I have not heard anything :/ I was thinking about calling to see if they had a time line as to when we would expect to her back.

Ok so I emailed and the response I got was they just started reviewing application and will contact applicants they wish to interview via phone.

I was wondering what y'all think my chances are I'm a 22 year.old bilingual male graduated with BS in physio/neuroscience from UCSD with a 3.1 have 3.6 in non science and 3.5 science. Have volunteered on cardiology unit for 100 hours, been a cna for almost two years at two different nursing facilities, volunteered in Mexico where I helped plan and attended clinic trips for 2 years.

I'd say your chances are pretty good! The only thing is that they look at science prereq gpa above all else I believe.

But of course they look at the application as a whole, I was just told they place the most weight on science prereq gpa cuz that's the best predictor of how well students will do in the program. At least that's what I was told.

I submitted a paper application so I checked all three boxes for the campus I want but I think they put me in the pile for the Main Campus and I have heard nothing so far. Kinda tired of waiting. I called Mr. Persad at the main campus and left him a voicemail letting him know I need to let USD know if I'm accepting their offer soon and he never got back to me :( idk what to think!

Awww thank you!! I'm still waiting to hear back from a couple places (APU included) so we'll see... @NursingSanDiego, is APU your first choice?
