Hello everyone,

I am in the process of applying to APU ELM program for Spring of 2019. I was just looking to connect to other applicants. I will be applying to the main campus. If anyone has any questions feel free to post, I have found the older forums from previous cohorts to be very helpful when looking for advice.

Yes I believe so because past years I think the application was due March 1st but now its Feb 15th.

I hope we have better chances of getting accepted for this term. When I went to the info session they said way less people apply for spring and summer than they do fall.

Yeah I was reading the last forum for fall 2018 applicants and it looks like a lot of people applied and a handful didn't get in that seemed qualified as far as their GPA and other stats they stated.

I am hopping since the deadline is earlier we will also find out sooner. Looks like in the past people where informed in June.

Informed in June for a final decision or request to interview?

For the final decision.

Hi everyone! I am applying for the San diego campus! I hear there are only 20 spots for each campus that makes me nervous! How are you guys feeling?

Yeah only 20 spots per campus. I am nervous and anxiously waiting, I know last application cycle it was very competitive per the last forum. The acceptance rate was 16.6% according to one of the applicants 150 people applied for 20 spots. Is your application complete or you still working on it?

Mine is done! Although I revised my letter to the dean and sent it to them today so I am hoping they allow me to replace it!I wasn't sure what to say it in but then I found these post and decided to rewrite it!! Since its not the deadline yet I am hoping they allow me to replace it! I hear the interview isn't bad! but waiting till May/June is making me nervous! This is my top program so finding out so late is kinda terrible! Do you have a lot of experience volunteering/in a hospital or nursing related field? I do not so I am kinda nervous about that!

I have worked the past two years as a Medical Assistant in a Doctors office. Yeah I wish we didn't have to wait so long. I asked when I should expect to hear back and they said after the deadline. February 15th can't come soon enough. I heard APU takes a pretty holistic view so you should be good as long as the other aspects of your application are good. If you don't mind me asking what was your under grad GPA and pre req GPA?

Hi,

I just submitted my application last night. I was reading previous threads from fall 2018 applicants and it seems a few people got bumped and got accepted to Spring 2019 instead of fall 2018. Or did I read this information wrong. I am just worried 20 spots only for spring 2019 and if they have some spots already taken. I applied for the San Diego campus.

I had a rough undergrad (I had medical problems so I think it was 2.52). So it was actually pretty low. However my pre req gpa was actually 3.75! How about you?

I thought I saw that too! I'm also applying to the san diego! I don't think they have made any decisions yet!

My undergrad is a 3.45. My science prereq is a 3.50, I still have chem which I'm taking this semester. nonscience prereq is 3.60. Combined my prereq GPA is a 3.62.

Hello!

Yeah I saw that some applicants where admitted for spring 2019. Thats a good question does that mean there are less then 20 spots available?
