Hello everyone,

I am in the process of applying to APU ELM program for Spring of 2019. I was just looking to connect to other applicants. I will be applying to the main campus. If anyone has any questions feel free to post, I have found the older forums from previous cohorts to be very helpful when looking for advice.

Congrats Soma122!! Has anyone heard anything back?

@cvnursing Not yet, I think SD committee meets late next week. So anxious!

This wait is infuriating lol I'm honestly leaning towards WesternU at this point

Hello all,

I just had my pre - admission interview at the IE campus. This was the last week they'd be conducting interviews. Decisions start the first week of may, and we should hear shortly after that. I know the wait can be frustrating. I didn't think I'd even get a call for an interview, but it was a pleasant surprise!

We will all hear soon enough!

No I haven't heard anything for main campus í ½í¸

Has anyone called to follow up?

@miezsabo

Finally! Someone else who applied to the IE campus lol. I'm in the same boat as you and had given up hope. Now I have an interview scheduled for tomorrow! I hope you did well and I hope we all hear back soon!

@SomedayFNP Does WesternU start earlier? Or would you be waiting until Spring 2019 too?

@nwats001

I know what you mean! I had been following this forum for some time, but I didn't see students signed up for the IE campus.

Good luck on your interview tomorrow. Just relax and be yourself. The interviewer is looking to have a conversation, instead of a question and answer interaction. You've got this!!!

@miezsabo

Thank you! Im trying not to be super nervous and breathe lol. Do you mind sharing what types of questions they asked?

@nwats001

There were some standard ones that have been shared on here like ...why apu? Why now? And why nursing? I was asked about community outreach. We spoke for over an hour and a half. The rest of it was conversational and whatever came to the interviewer's mind.

Good luck!!! You'll be fine! Relax and be you! :)

WesternU starts the first week in August and it's a shorter program. It'd take 4 years to get the FNP and I was told students take longer than 4 years at APU to finish the FNP

well I like that the radio silence was finally broken haha, but yes this wait is rough!! I was at least accepted into another program this week and will make the small $150 intent to enroll within the next week. I would most likely choose Azusa over the other option (CSU San Marcos) although the pros and cons list is close. With regards to the Azusa/Monrovia campus, it sounds like one spot has been offered so we have 19 left..... good luck all!!
