APU ELM Spring 2019

Hello everyone,

I am in the process of applying to APU ELM program for Spring of 2019. I was just looking to connect to other applicants. I will be applying to the main campus. If anyone has any questions feel free to post, I have found the older forums from previous cohorts to be very helpful when looking for advice.

How did your interview go?! Did you interview with the director or another faculty member?

I interviewed with the director. She was very nice and it was conversational which really calmed my nerves lol. But overall I think it went really well! Now im just hoping and praying for the best!

Well I just wanted to let everyone know that after looking at the fall 2018's thread there appears to be at least 3 spots for spring 2019 already committed. Soma12 already posted on here informing us of her spot, but there were also two others who posted that they were denied from fall 2018, but accepted into spring 2019. So I know we're all already nervous as is but I think knowing where we stand and how many spots are available is good. good luck everyone!!

Well I just wanted to let everyone know that after looking at the fall 2018's thread there appears to be at least 3 spots for spring 2019 already committed. Soma12 already posted on here informing us of her spot, but there were also two others who posted that they were denied from fall 2018, but accepted into spring 2019. So I know we're all already nervous as is but I think knowing where we stand and how many spots are available is good. good luck everyone!!

I also saw that some even got accepted into the Summer 2019 class in the Fall 2018 forum. I know there were close to 150 applicants for the Fall 2018 and not all accepted may have posted on these forums. I have a feeling there are a lot less spots available than just the 3 we've seen on here...

I think there were 3-4 from main campus that said they got accepted into the spring 2019 class and 2-3 from SD campus.

When the admissions advisor called me to tell me to reapply after I received my rejection letter for Fall 2018, he mentioned that main campus was so impacted that they had to give away about 5 spots for spring 2019 and about 5 spots for summer 2019 and about 5 spots for IE campus and about 5 spots for San Diego.

Looking back I'm glad I got rejected because I absolutely fell in love with WesternU the last time I was there. But had I done things differeny I would have applied to the IE campus because they get the least amount of applicants.

Yes, I've also heard that for every admission cycle they usually admit 5 people (per location) into the next cohort. So there are probably only around 15 spots at each location actually open for Spring 19.
