Hello everyone,
I am in the process of applying to APU ELM program for Spring of 2019. I was just looking to connect to other applicants. I will be applying to the main campus. If anyone has any questions feel free to post, I have found the older forums from previous cohorts to be very helpful when looking for advice.
@SomedayFNP Thank you so much! Everything is in order except that my interview date will be far far far away even though I applied so early...
Also, @Cvnursing, everything on the home site was normal. I had green dot next to my application cycle and was given access to pay my deposit. I also got a confirmation email from the rep regarding my application. If I were you, I would call everyone if you feel like something was off. For me, I had a gut feeling something was off when my application was completed not so far from everyone else here but didn't receive a call. So, I started calling from 2 weeks ago and was finally able to get answers.
Yea, Western has a great reputation from what I've heard. I actually missed their deadline and just personaly priortized having access to the beach so kind of ruled it out (probably stupid of me lol).
With regards to APU, I realized I really like their FNP route as well. The electives like "disaster nursing" and "medical spanish for advanced nurses" are reallly appealing to me since I want to get involved with medical mission work. It is also nice to know that once you're in, you don't have to deal with this insanely stressful application process again for the NP
All true... however I calculated program costs and APU is significantly more expensive when you take into account living expenses. Plus my fiancé and I want to live together during the program and I doubt APU would be cool with that lol but APU offers the SNSC and western doesn't. Plus APU confers a BSN and western doesn't... AH IDK!!

When does your decision for WesternU need to be made by? Western is an awesome school! I would definitely hold my spot there with the deposit if I was in your situation. í ½í¸„

I haven't received a call for an interview yet.. did your status on home.apu say complete? or did you get the email stating your application was received? I am so sorry!
