Apply to a different school. APU Elmsn program is a bad program. They change students grades and you have to teach yourself. They fired alot of there instructors and they keep changing the program.

I just finished the prelicensure portion at the main campus. My experience was very positive, and no one was fired in the last 2 years, and to my knowledge no ones grades were "changed."

So far, 100% of my cohort that has tested has passed the NCLEX, and that's almost all of us.

I'm sorry if your experience was different, though I'm skeptical of your veracity given the lack of details, new ID and first post business.

I have an interview next week. Can you guys tell me what was your writing sample about.

I'm afraid of that, because English is my second language and I'm not sure if I can write an essay in just 20-30 minutes.

I agree...it seems like there is not interest to actually explain what she means and I assume if she was genuinly trying to encourage us to look elsewhere, she would explain why. I began my undergrad at APU and absolutely loved my short time there. Although I did not finish my degree there, it was a great school.

How was the work load for you? Did you work at all in addition to the program? Would be happy to hear more about the program!

Hi Mandy! Did you apply for Fall 2014? I applied for Summer 2015 and had my interview. It is very informal. It is mostly informational about the program, school and financial aid. The writing sample was really easy! Don't be stressed about it. From what I understand on these forums, it is mostly to ensure that you wrote your own Letter to the Dean. They have apparently had issues in the past with students turning in things they did not write so they do this to compare the styles. I think it has very little to do with your application as a whole. I am surprised you are getting an interview so close to the Fall if that is the term you applied for? Good luck! Don't be stressed about it!
