April 2008 NCLEX test takers, COME ON IN!

Published

Per the request of janina08 ;) I've started the April NCLEX takers support group. When do you take it? What are you using to study? Would anyone like to review any of the systems/meds that he/she feels weakest on? Let's keep each other in our prayers and good thoughts as we go through one of the biggest experiences of our lives. :) :nurse:

Hello everyone, I sure do hope that I am posting this the right way.

I am brand new to the group. I am so glad that I found You all.

I have a question?

Does anyone know about LVN/LPN Refresher Courses?

I want to know if they can help someone, like myself, that have graduated from an approved nursing program , But hav not ever passed the NCLEX yet. I did get my Tmporaty license after graduation , but have not been able to pass the NCLEX.

I see someone posted that they are taking the NCLEX after 8 years,

Well , I graduated in 1998, 8 years myself.

Is there help for someone like me? If anyone know of what or how I can go about getting information about taking the NCLEX again, please, please, let me know.

You know I try and tell myself thats its ok, because I am in Management now and just love what I do now, but I still have

thoughts about not passing that test, after all that I had to go

through to even graduate, I feel sometimes it is a let down.

I feel I really need to pass the NCLEX , even though If I do nursing

it will be on a part time basis or just to hold on to in the event, my job now doesn't work out, I will have that as a back up

Please anyone that can help or direct me to some help, I would

gladly appreciate it

Thanks so much

Liz

DIB --- Difficulty In Breathing... Sorry

DIB --- Difficulty In Breathing... Sorry

Thank you.

Can you please post some information on Infection and control , immunizations etc. Thank you again

I will have to find some things for Infection control but NCLEX cannont test over immunizations b/c they are different from state to state, so don't bother with the ages that children should get immunized!!!

Here is an EASY way to remember the developmental growth of a newborn to 1YO.

Think of your body:

- From the top of your head to you neck = 0-3 months

Think of your neck and how that is a developmenat mildstone for this age ---- NECK CONTROL

- Then your neck to waist= 3-6 months

Think the mildstone here by thinking waist.... I can bend/sit up. The mild stone for this age is ------SITTING UP

- Now your waist to knees= 6-9 months

Think of this mildstone... KNEES=Crawling.... the mild stone for this age is CRAWLING.

- Lastly your knees to feet= 9-12 months

THink of this mildstone, they are crusing/walking.... the mildstone for this age is WALKING.

I hope that this make since. This was a great way to remember it and not compare it to my little girl who did things early!!!!!

HOPE THIS STUFF HELPS!!!!
