April 2008 NCLEX test takers, COME ON IN!

Published

Per the request of janina08 ;) I've started the April NCLEX takers support group. When do you take it? What are you using to study? Would anyone like to review any of the systems/meds that he/she feels weakest on? Let's keep each other in our prayers and good thoughts as we go through one of the biggest experiences of our lives. :) :nurse:

Thank you Micha.

i suppose to be increased WBC because if it is high and high CRP then you are prone to infection or that you already have an ongoing infection..hope i am right with this

Thank you Micha.

it depends on the condition of the disease like in leukemia where u have increased immature WBC or in infection (bacterial= increased wbc, viral and super infections decreased wbc)

feel free to correct me if im wrong in this

I'M TAKING THE NCLEX PN ON APRIL 5TH HERE IN CALIFORNIA. I WAS TRYING TO TAKE IT BEFORE THEY CHANGED IT BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO DRIVE TO LAS VEGAS OR ARIZONA. I HAVE BEEN STUDYING FROM THE EXAM CRAM AND ITS REALLY BEEN WORKING BUT ITS SO HARD TO STUDY WHEN YOU DONT KNOW WHATS GOING TO BE ON THE TEST. I STRUGGLE WITH MEDS AND I HOPE THAT I WONT HAVE TO MANY ON THE EXAM. ANYONE ELSE TAKING THE TEST BEFORE ME PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW WAS IT FOR YOU.

I'm not sure abou heparin now :banghead: :( Please, someone help :bowingpur

With cushing's you are 100% sure it's Hypokalemia and not Hyperkalemia? Sorry I already forgot what is potassium value in CUSHING'S  Yeah would go between glucose and potassium in that answer. Glucose is w/i normal range. Potassium is high. But your information is in cushing's potassium is low. I dunno :crying2:

Today, I'm scared thinking, that in NCELX EXAM, I'll just keep fcusing on ABC'S and MASLOW'S and lose my cool :crying2: and forget to read the question for they are :(:crying2::( We have to keep praying :bowingpur I'm sorry if I spread little bit down-liness here today

Hello,

Just wanted to let you know, you never aspirate with heprin. and that other question from Saunders, it is B because of the Pot. level of 5.5 the norm should be 3.5-5

Hope this helps.

Hey! I think with Cushing Syndrome... you have HYPOKALEMIA! In other words, your potassium will be less than 3.5.... You will have water and sodium retention as well as Hypoglycemia.... but your potassium will be low.... if you have ADDISONS disease then your postassium will be high, sodium and glucose low... I think the question was just a typo. :typing
