Applying MJC Nursing Fall'14 & Spring'15

Hi,

Is someone applying MJC Nursing program in Fall 2014 & Spring 2015?

I am wondering: How high the scores will be on TEAS V Exam?

Mine is 68% in my first attempt.

On the points sheet I have 45/100.

If someone like to share their TEAS V score & Point sheet scores, it will be really helpful!

Also, it will help to avoid anxiety.

I will appreciate!

I got accepted as well, but for the spring semester.. Wish it was the fall semester. Most likely I will be going to Delta College now because I got accepted there for the fall semester.

oops. I don't know if this is going to post twice, but...as far as I know all notifications should have gone out on the 22 to student emails. If you have your student email set up to pop into another account, check the spam folder. Mine went to spam for awhile in my gmail account. If there is nothing in the spam folder and you've checked your student account directly, you should call today since nobody is in the office on Fridays. Good luck!

Hi Everyone and congratulations to those who got in and condolences for those that didn't. I got in for Spring but for a number of reasons would greatly prefer being with the fall cohort. Are any of you in the opposite situation, preferring spring over fall? If so, lets approach Lisa Riggs, department head, and appeal to switch. Hi everyone...for those of you who were accepted into the fall or springs programs, may I ask how many points you had on your application? I applied with 64 points and was asked to submit supporting documents. After the evaluations, my application was marked Qualified Not Selected for Acceptance. I'm just wondering if I was anywhere close to where others were who did get accepted or if I need to find ways to increase my points for the next application period. Congratulations again to everyone who was accepted and best wishes to all of you!

Sorry Solarjohn, I'm all in for fall. Dianekay, my application points total was 77. I'm not sure where that landed me on the spectrum, but on Monday I'm going to ask what the average was.

Hello everyone and congratulations to those who were accepted! I've been accepted at MJC for Spring 2015. DianeKay, I applied with 77 points, and a friend of mine who was also accepted got in with 71 points. Hope that helps!

Just curious, does anyone know how they selected for spring vs fall semester? Was that based on points also, or was it random? Thanks!

I applied with 79 pts was accepted for the spring 15 start last week, and from what I have seen anyone that had 70 points or above on the application, and whose documents cleared was accepted this year. I know that will vary from year to year, but I thought those of you applying for 15-16 might like to know basic stats for this years app!

Acceptance was merit based but placement (fall/spring) was a randomized lottery. They said they had a lot of factors they plugged into the computer (didn't want all their highest points in one semester and lowest in the next) and then the computer gave them the list.

@mara_maravilla, I just opened a FB page for students that have been accepted to the MJC Spring 15 semester so we can all get to know each other a bit before we start.
