Hi,
Is someone applying MJC Nursing program in Fall 2014 & Spring 2015?
I am wondering: How high the scores will be on TEAS V Exam?
Mine is 68% in my first attempt.
On the points sheet I have 45/100.
If someone like to share their TEAS V score & Point sheet scores, it will be really helpful!
Also, it will help to avoid anxiety.
I will appreciate!
Thanks
Sam

I would like to know where others stand as well. A friend has already applied and has a total of 62/100 points with an 83% on her TEAS. I have yet to take the TEAS, doing so within the next 2 weeks, and have 52/100 points prior to TEAS testing.

Hi, I graduated from MSJC but not the nursing program. Most people that get in average scores are in the 80's. It is very competitive. I didn't apply there, they don't have any loans just grants? have you applied any where else? But you never know each semester is different, just keep your head up.
kbrownstewart, are you talking about Modesto Junior College? I ask because you said MSJC and also because this is the first year that they are using a point system and there is no way to know what the average points of those accepted are as they haven't done it this way before.

The points vary every semester. There is no way to tell one would get in by a specific number of points. It all depends on the applicants. Sometimes you may get applicants with high points, while other times you may get applicants with low points. In the case of MJC, this is the first year they are doing the point system. I applied as well. Good luck to everybody!

I applied, got a 52 on the points. Don't know how well that will fly
You have a chance! Just stay positive
Thanks! I'm hoping so.
The points systems are strange in the sense that they're different at every community college that uses it. I was actually in a nursing program at a community college in the San Diego area earlier this year but dropped out due to a few reasons and moved back home. I got into two programs actually. The one I attended I scored 72.5 points and the other one scored 68.5.
Yea the point system do differ by major points from one school to another. It's just how each school categories them. Some schools give you more points for specific category such as the teas exam, while another school may give less points for the teas.. The only thing we can do is stay patient and see what happens.
Just thought I would update. I got 77 on my TEAS and have 60 points total.

I'm going in with 74 points... So nervous!!!!
74 points is very good. I really don't think there is anything to be nervous about.
