  1. Hey everyone...I got a phone call from the nursing department this afternoon and I was offered a spot in the program for the Fall semester! I'm beyond excited right now and can't wait to start this amazing journey! I'm looking forward to meeting everyone at orientation on Monday!
  2. Thank you to everyone who posted regarding how many point they got in with. I really appreciate seeing where everyone is and where I am in comparison. I'm so happy for everyone who got in this year and wish you all well!
  3. Hi everyone...for those of you who were accepted into the fall or springs programs, may I ask how many points you had on your application? I applied with 64 points and was asked to submit supporting documents. After the evaluations, my application was marked Qualified Not Selected for Acceptance. I'm just wondering if I was anywhere close to where others were who did get accepted or if I need to find ways to increase my points for the next application period. Congratulations again to everyone who was accepted and best wishes to all of you!
  4. I didn't make it in...I'm bummed out, but its okay. I'm going to apply to American River and Delta Colleges this fall. Best of luck to everyone who made it in to MJCs program!
  5. I read back through an email I received on June 6th and it states that we will be notified by July 22, via email, regrading our status in the program. I'm anxiously waiting...
  6. I had the exact same thought process as I was selecting a campus! I live in Jackson, so when considering driving miles, the Columbia campus is closer than Modesto. However, I selected the Modesto campus as my preference because they accept a larger number of applicants into that location, therefore increasing my chances of getting in. I hope I made the right choice.
  7. I also received an email late this afternoon to turn in my supporting documents. I'm very happy; this is the first bit of good news I've had so far in this process :)
  8. I'm sorry to hear A.88. I know exactly how that feels; I applied to ARC and Sierra colleges programs this Spring and although I was qualified, I was not selected from the random applicant pool. I have not heard anything from MJC yet.
  9. Thank you for the info Nicolekay. I'll be keeping a very close eye on my school email for the next few weeks. Good luck everyone!
  10. Hi everyone...I took the TEAS and scored 80% (I actually thought I did a lot better...oh well). I submitted my application last night with a total of 64 points. I'm really hoping that's enough to put me in the top group of applicants who are selected to submit supporting documents. MJC seems to be a merit based system, so hopefully my grades and test scores will be good enough. Does anyone know when they'll be notifying applicants of their progression in the selection process. Thank you to everyone who comes on this site and keeps us updated with current information. Best of luck to everyone applying to get in this Fall/Spring!
