Dear Everyone,
I have some concerns regarding CES, I would like to know if I still need to request my school to send the Request for Academic Records and if I still need to ask the Professional Regulation Commission here in the Philippines to send the Request for Validation of Registration/License.
CGFNS already have that 2 requirements since it was been sent to them for my visa screen certificate and I already meet it. Do I need to ask my instituion to send it again? Please advise me. Thanks in advance.
Hi Suzanne! I tried looking for info pertinent to my question in the past threads but none of them address my concern regarding VISASCREEN. I am licensed in New Mexico (recently passed) and one of the requirements prior to taking the NCLEX was to have my education (Philippines) evaluated. I complied by having it evaluated by J. Silny, which is one of the 4 accredited evaluating agencies by BON New Mexico. Now, CGFNS is requiring the same (evaluation of education) . Will my Certificate from J. Silny not suffice? Thank you.
It is up to CGFNS as to what they will accept and not accept. The report that you had done may not provide all that they want to see.
I would check with them again on this. But they are the ones that make the final decision. Usually the credentials eval is just to assist with getting permission to be able to even sit for the NCLEX exam in the first place. The VC usually just needs proof of passing the NCLEX exam as well as the English exams.

The requirements for CES are already on CGFNS' website and the handbook. It is stated specifically there that it requires English Proficiency if required by the State BON. So, check NJ's website for the latest requirements. If the option for foreign applications is currently unavailable then just try again in another day. They may have server issues or updating it. They previously said they require one for foreign-educated nurses.
Everything you need to know are either in the CES handbook or CGFNS' website for the FAQ's and in your State BON's website.
You may also do a search here as there are threads and posts here that already discussed this.
