Applying for Credential Evaluation Service

Dear Everyone,

I have some concerns regarding CES, I would like to know if I still need to request my school to send the Request for Academic Records and if I still need to ask the Professional Regulation Commission here in the Philippines to send the Request for Validation of Registration/License.

CGFNS already have that 2 requirements since it was been sent to them for my visa screen certificate and I already meet it. Do I need to ask my instituion to send it again? :rolleyes: Please advise me. Thanks in advance.

If they already have the documents for visa screen you do not need to send it again.

hello, i also applied CES on February this year in order to get licensue in Maryland , and it is still waiting for review. but i also want to work in newyork in the future, so i want to apply CVS at the same time, so, i think chances are good that i could have more choices after completing the first employment. do you think it is necessary to apply CES and CVS at the same time and prepare to get licensure both in Maryland and in Newyork? :)

You do not need CVS at this time. Worry about getting licensed in one state, then go from there. You are just paying extra fees for no reason.

hi! how about if have submitted my requirements for the CGFNS exam, do i still need to furnish them the same requirements for CES? can i apply for CES while waiting for my CGFNS exam? so that i can schedule my NCLEX just weeks after my CGFNS exam. thanks :)

The CES has nothing to do with your CGFNS exam. The CES is strictly a credentials evaluation.

AS far as what you need to submit, if your school sent a full set of transcripts to CGFNS when you applied for the exam, they you are okay. However they are not required for the exam, actually just a completed form with the number fo hours, etc is required. Just check with your school to see what they sent. I always try to have my students get everything sent together so that there will be no isssues later on.

Not at all. It is an evaluation of your education to make sure that you meet the requirement sof the state where you wish to get licensed. Once your credentials have been accepted, then the state will send you a letter telling you that you meet the requirements and everything has been accepted.

This is when you send in your payment to Pearosn-Vue, and as soon as they receive confirmation from the state, and your payment, they will issue you the ATT and you will be ready to write the exam.

Florida does require the CES.

The requirements for CES are already on CGFNS' website and the handbook. It is stated specifically there that it requires English Proficiency if required by the State BON. So, check NJ's website for the latest requirements. If the option for foreign applications is currently unavailable then just try again in another day. They may have server issues or updating it. They previously said they require one for foreign-educated nurses.

Everything you need to know are either in the CES handbook or CGFNS' website for the FAQ's and in your State BON's website.
