During the UBC info session they said it may be difficult but it can be done as they understand people may need to work to pay rent/bills etc.  But once practicums start it may be a bit harder.

Does anyone know if there will be another info session for the UBC program?

During the ubc info session they said many students have maintained their jobs during  for the first year but end up leaving second year due to assignments and exams. They also mentioned certain health authorites pay NP students for clinic days. Not like ESN where it is in addition but while you do your clinical hours.

Just got in to UVIC today 🙂

has anyone heard exactly when the on campus skills dates are? Not the June orientation dates but the ones during the year?

I plan on declining it once I talk it over with my partner yes. Not super excited about the extra 8 months even though it was originally my first choice.

I ended up choosing UVIC as well. I can be done quicker, and it will be about $4,000 cheaper too. Look forward to seeing you in September!

Hey did you end up making a decision? Only reason I ask is I'm just currently number 1 on the waitlist. Just waiting to hear if there is any movement! 😊

I officially declined my UNBC seat yesterday so I would guess you'll hear something soon!

For those who has taken the SOCI 301 course, how helpful was the textbook readings?

I read through each textbook chapter (they correspond with the study units), but focused more on the course study guide and practice questions. The textbook is quite straightforward and easy to read.
