I know that it's early, but I really wanted to get a jump on this. I have read the past two years' threads from start to finish and have seen the amazing support given by everyone involved. Considering how competitive it is for nursing school admission, it is extremely informative and heart-warming. I will be applying to all the schools in the Portland/Salem area to which I will qualify. This next year is going to be rough, but ever since I started on this journey I have loved every moment.
A little about me:
Again, I know this is early, but I look forward to seeing the responses from everyone!
Sounds good, I'll probably just go to the orientation anyways ? but will.call tomorrow if I don't hear anything from them by tonight. Best of luck to you!
@Wilsosta - did you hear anything yesterday? Looks like another person (I think that makes three) got the same email as you. Hopefully they were able to clarify and you are supposed to come to the orientation.
The email I received looked like Wilsosta's. I've been searching my emails looking for orientation info. Thought I was going crazy.
@jmax6 - hopefully, @wilsosta got some answers via email yesterday and will let us know what they said. It's possible that CCC didn't email back yesterday, so, a call might have to be made today as well.
I also got the same email with no orientation information. Odd.
Seriously @missjordie? Now I'm starting to think they included the info by error on my email. Either way, I don't get it. I've not heard anything from them yet in terms of being offered a spot. I'm starting to get so anxious. I hate this limbo feeling!
Hey all, I see there is some confusion about CCC email to alternates. My acceptance email said that the June 4th orientation is mandatory for ALL nursing students including accepted and alternates. If I were you I would email the Allied Health Admission. They have always responded to me very quickly.

@JaymeeL...I believe @Wilsosta emailed yesterday. Not sure if CCC responsed or not. Hopefully, she'll let us know if they emailed back or she ended up calling.
BTW - my waitlist email said the same thing as yours. But, there are 4 people who's emails have different verbiage. Most everything is the same, except their email leaves out the part about the orientation. If you scroll up, I included the body of my email and so did @Wilsosta.
I e-mailed Allied.
Hi there,Several applicants and I are experiencing some confusion regarding orientation. Some applicants have been asked to attend the orientation in their acceptance e-mail, while other acceptance e-mails made no mention of orientation whatsoever. Could you please verify which applicants should attend the orientation? I will be sure to relay that information to others.
Thank you,
___________
I'll let you guys know if I hear anything.

Thanks for doing that @missjordie - I (and I'm sure the other gals) really appreciate it!
I really want to call and ask when they're sending out emails to people on the alternates list. Considering the deadline to respond was Friday, I thought they would be sending out emails this week. But, nothing yet. I'm waitlisted at both CCC and PCC, but, I've given it so thought and I'm like 90% sure that I want to go to Clackamas (should I be offered a seat, of course). So, now that's I've sort of decided...I am chomping at the bit to hear something!
