I wanted to start a thread for all of us who are applying to various nursing schools in the area for 2010. I have applied to five different places: OHSU-Monmouth, University of Portland, Portland Community College, The University of Washington, and Boise State University. I wanted to cover myself and hopefully ensure that I would get in somewhere. I have a really good GPA and experience as an EMT-Basic so I am hoping that that will help my chances.
Just waiting it out until they send out notifications.....I just want to hear back!!!

Just thought I would add to the celebration. I got in to PCC today too. I've officially gotten into every school I applied to!!! :redbeathe Wooo Hooo!! Congrats to everyone that has been accepted!! I'm so excited to start school and finally be on the road to my lifelong dream of becoming a nurse!!!
My heart strings are still a little tied to OHSU (it's harder than I thought it would be to say no to them!!! :uhoh21:) Considering all factors though, my family being number one on that list, leads me straight to Linfield. I'll be seeing you in the fall cohort!! Wooo hooooo!!!!!
I'm sorry care_baer! Try to look at the bright side though...there were 1050 applicants, and you were so amazing, you were invited to write an essay (meaning you were in the top 14%, WOW, celebrate that! ). And you did so well on that, you are number 15 on the alternate list!! That's fantastic! I think you will be in without a problem. I am turning down my PCC seat for sure, so just like that you are now number 14! You'll be getting a call in no time!!

I too got into all the schools I applied to, I wish I had applied to OHSU though.. I just didn't think there was any chance.
Now if you would kindly make up your mind and return your declination letters, perhaps we could have two more colorful I GOT IN!!! posts from board members.. hmmmm?? :D:D:D
Oh - it feels so good I think I will drop that chem class I don't need that is interfering with my gardening time!
I'm on the alternate list for PCC. I'm number 15, so all hope isn't lost, but I'm still pretty sad.
You will get a call, I would bet on it. Two more schools will be sending out acceptance letters in the next three weeks, then Clark/WSU should be sending their HESI invitations out in June.
I know two ladies that got letters today that are holding out for Clackamas and one for Clark so no worries. At number 15 er.. 14 I would say you can buy those blue scrubs lady..
