I wanted to start a thread for all of us who are applying to various nursing schools in the area for 2010. I have applied to five different places: OHSU-Monmouth, University of Portland, Portland Community College, The University of Washington, and Boise State University. I wanted to cover myself and hopefully ensure that I would get in somewhere. I have a really good GPA and experience as an EMT-Basic so I am hoping that that will help my chances.
Just waiting it out until they send out notifications.....I just want to hear back!!!
I have called several times and no one answers, it goes to the VM for the HAO office secretary who has not changed his VM message this week, and it is still from the week of May 10th-14th.
I did finally email yesterday at 3:30 to the [email protected] email and have not received a reply from them yet.
Has anyone heard that accepting at one OCNE school disqualifies you from the selection of the other's? A friend of mine believes that her group was told that at their interview this week at MHCC and she is concerned that if she holds a seat at PCC (if she gets in) that it will knock her out of running for Clackamas which is her first choice because of location.
I think she will know if she has been accepted at Clackamas before she has to tell PCC if she will be attending or not.

Since Clackamas is my only and last chance for this year, I am so hoping to NOT recieve another denial letter :)
Oh... just thought to let you all know, I sure will make one individual very happy whether I receive a denial letter or an acceptance letter, can you guess who that person would be? The MAIL MAN! :)
andie74- It's not my school of choice (I don't think...) I am trying to decide between PCC and MHCC, but am leaning toward MHCC. I also have my fingers crossed that i get into OHSU off the waitlist...
dharma-The envelope was regular sized and not thick at all. Despite the fact that I though I would get in for sure I was a little doubtful when I saw the size of it!

Well, I'm about 98% sure I'll be turning down my OHSU spot, so hopefully you'll get a call!!
A general post to everyone. Congratulations on your acceptance, being an alternate, and getting an interview. That's quite an accomplishment for a competitive field! I wish you all the best of luck with your endeavors!!!
