Applicants to Chico for Fall 2014??

Published

Hi Everyone!

I'm just putting my feelers out to find others applying to the BSN program at Chico State for the Fall of 2014. The deadline to apply is in a week, so I'm getting excited and antsy!! I am from Arcata (Humboldt County) and live here currently, but I am excited to be hopefully moving to Chico in the fall!!

Hi all,

I haven't applied to Chico's nursing program, but wanted to chime in because I lived there for most of my life. :) I also got my BA there, and I really miss all the trees, Bidwell Park, the farmers' markets, and the slower pace of life in the summertime. Congrats to the new Chico nursing students!!

Caligirl did you check your spam folder

K2115, I have been checking that too. Wow I am 10 on the alternate list I thought I had 89 points. That's odd. Congrats everyone

They said I had 88 points in email

Good luck!! Sending good thoughts. Have you checked your school email? Maybe it got sent there?

oops this thing takes a long time to update

I had one less point than I thought I would too, not really sure what it's from. #10 is pretty far up though! Fingers crossed lots of people get in other places!

Thank you curlypearly! I am hoping so too. When do you have to tell them if you accept or decline the spot? And with the intents due may 1st at most schools I am hoping people will be deciding since for most schools that's a $200 deposit.

Hmm that's interesting about the one point off. That we both were one off then we originally thought.

The email I got said you had to accept by May 9th, and then they start filling the spaces with alternates. I'm assuming they tell alternates whenever someone declines though, which might be sooner.

Ok that's good to know. Thank you for sharing that with me. That's correct they inform when someone declines their spot. I need 10 people to do that, fingers crossed. Congrats on your admissions!

Hello everyone! I was working all morning and come to my surprise, acceptances go out! :wacky:

Like caligirl7, I too, was placed on the alternate list!

@curlypearly: I think you're confusing me with caligirl7, who thought she had 89 points. I have 87 points... if I had lived in one of the nearby counties (such as Butte, Yuba, etc...), I would have gotten two more points for the cutoff. Damn living in Los Angeles (just kidding) LOL.

BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THOSE ACCEPTED! I WISH YOU ALL NOTHING BUT THE BEST IN YOUR JOURNEY! ;)

To all of those who are placed on a waiting list, like myself, there's still hope! If you look at the statistics from previous years, they accept many alternates.

To those who were not accepted, don't let this stop you!
