Apollo College RN Program

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Has anyone attended apollo's rn program? What is the schedule like? I recently read that apollo was bought out by devry and apollo's credits will be eligible for chamberlin's bsn program? Has anyone heard this?

I would love someone feedback.

Look under the Education tab then Nclex for the quarterly reports (link below). Apollo's most recent average is 88.89. ASU is 88.35. Maricopa Comm coll 91.84. As bug out said, Apollo's pass rate is determined the same way every other school's is. Apollo's pass rate has consistently been high, if you look back through the reports.

I also agree with bug out as far as people that dropped out - it was always their own problem usually due to working too many hours or personal problems. Apollo offers all sorts of tutoring for people struggling. I haven't seen one person pushed out.

What campus are you starting at?????

Good luck to Crangel and I hope you succeed....:nurse:

Thanks for the link. Although I am not sure how to read the report. I am going to the AZ phoenix location.

Thanks

On page 9 of the 1st quarterly report you will find Apollo College (the schools are alphabetized). Off to the right you'll see the headings for Graduation Date, Candidates (# of people taking the test), how many passed, how many failed, then the % that passed.

As you can see, the first 4 columns are for the most recent quarter. The second 4 columns are year to date.

Thanks so much. I only went through the first couple of pages. It shows that they are doing something right. I cant wait to start. Does anyone have ideas on how to pay for daycare while in school? I have a little one that needs daycare and in July I plan to attend school full time. I know there is childcare assistance, but I understand there is a waiting list. Any advice?

Thanks

Go to your local DES office and see if you qualify for childcare. You may be able to look them up online and get the info, i.e. income requirements.

Hi everyone, I am new to this but can anyone help me I am thinking about attending Apollo college for the Rn program. Can any tell me about the semesters I know one starts on Monday the 22nd thats when I am going to the tour session. Can anyone give me some information about the school.

I actually start the semester on Monday. However, the school is very expensive, it will be worth it because you do not have to wait to get in. I have heard good things about the school and the pass rate is very high for the boards.

In June they are changing their name to Carrington College. Most the people are very helpful. The fa department was very helpful getting me financed and you can also apply for grants.

Thats good to hear, because I am ready to get started I was wondering if they had a waiting list just to get into the school as well. So do you know the next date that they start classes? What do you have to do just to get enrolled did they let you do it the same day after the tour? I tried to call and asked them questions over the phone but they wouldnt give me any information.

The next start date is in July, You have to go to the info seminar. Then before you can enroll you have to take the Cpat test, which cost 20 dollars and if you pass you have to take the Hesi A-2 test and pass it as well. Once you pass both then you can enroll. You meet with fa and make sure you can get financed and then they enroll you.

I am excited to start.:lol2:

Thank You for the information. I am happy that you got in the program....Now you would have to take you perreq before you take those test first right...I would have to start from scratch because i didnt start my prereq at any school just yet. Those test are just to get you in the rn program..

No, you have to take both test even before the prereqs. I am taking the prereqs as well. Starting with A and P and math, psy,-already had english done. But they will give you more info at the info seminar. You have to apply for a fingerprint clearance card before you get in to.

The program includes the prereqs and the cost includes everything.
