APHY 101 online - Ivy Tech

Thanks for sharing...unfortunately my eager self hurried up and bought my books and didn't even think about getting used books so I bought that 293.00 book ...but at least next time I will know to check first!

Good luck with APHY 101, I am taking it online too but during the 2nd 8 weeks.

Thanks, Emmi! Good luck to you, too. This is the only prereq that I'm taking this semester, so I can put most of my focus into that, thank goodness. I'm freaking stressed about it!

hey taranator...

how is aphy 101 going for you online so far? are you doing a full 16 weeks or 8 weeks? do you think you are going to do 102 online as well??

I'm doing the full 16 weeks and I'm doing really well in there so far, amazingly enough. I don't know how the heck I have such a high grade, LOL. I will definitely (unless something crazy happens) take aphy102 online, too. My instructor is nice and replies in a timely manner, which is wonderful. I'm nervous about the midterm and final, though.

Hello people!

I'm signing up for my APHY102 online as soon as possible and I wondered if anyone had any suggestions for online instructors? If so....PLEASE send me a message! Unfortunately, I don't think my wonderful 101 instructor is going to be teaching 102, so I'm curious about others.

hey ladies, here are a couple of good links for you. tara, the first one is directly to a page that is about mitosis, but it also has links back to a main page where you can click on other topics as you move through 101 and 102. the second link is a another good site with lots of topics to choose from. i used these in 101 and 102 and have been looking back at them for 201!

APHY 101 starting in 5 days...super nervous but hoping I will make it through! I also signed up for APHY 102 online next semester (16 weeks though)

I'm so stressed out right now because ivy tech sellersburg is all booked up for aphy 101...Can you explain to me how the online class works?? I have been trying to get a hold of someone at school all day and haven't had any help with me situation:( Do you have to go in class for any reason if you take it online?

With the online class, all of your work is online, with the exception of two tests (usually the midterm and final) which are proctored and you take them at your testing location. We have to write discussion board posts and replies which make up for the class discussion (as much as they can anyway). I really enjoy online classes because I do better when I'm learning on my time, but it takes a lot of self discipline and studying, etc.

Okay, so I found a workbook that I had from a couple years ago. I was going to school at IBC and taking A&P102 (hadn't had 101 yet...it was weird), but I had to drop out due to getting pregnant, it being difficult, not being able to take the class online, blah, blah, blah. Anyway, I found the workbook from the A&P book I had then and realized that it had much of the same information in it that the Ivy Tech book does. So, I scanned the pages (I've only got chapter 1 at the moment, but will scan more) so that if others want/need to use them, they can. I've been looking over the pages and wish like crazy that I'd found them before I took the midterm! I'm so excited that I found these and can share!
