I second buying the book. I personally hate the book and how it's organized (and am going to stage a ritualistic burning of it when I graduate) but it's really a necessity for writing papers. There is computer software out there that claims to format for you but I think learning how to format on your own is pretty important. I may be at a biased advantage because I'm a psychology minor and have had to write several papers in APA before nursing school, but it's not that bad once you get into it. Just need to remember or know how to look up all the little nuances, like the difference in formatting a title in references based on whether a source is web or text based.
Try this link: (APA Style Wizard) you can google it if this link does not work. The owl at purdue also is very helpful. Google it.

I like this one. Always double check that its correct though.
Watch using OWL. I too consider them a very reliable source - but from experience I can tell you they're not always 100% accurate, and they don't cover every situation.
If the book's a bit out of your budget, you can always take your references into Barnes and Noble, get a copy from the shelf, look up how to cite them, and then go back and correct your paper (because my guess is you'll never quite manage to get your hands on the copy in the library!).
If you buy the book, I highly recommend the one that's spiral bound; it's much easier to use.
Here is an APA template that I was give at another college I went to. I have 2 other documents but they are to big to load here. PM me with your email and I will send them to you. I have used these to write a lot of papers and have always gotten a good grade.
I wouldn't survive without "A Pocket Style Manual". I have 2 copies - one at my desk and one in my bag. Here's a link: http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9780312452759&itm=2
