Any news on those who applied for AOS in Nebraska SC? Is there anyone out there who got approved recently? Are all approval for I-485 only coming from Texas SC at this time? Hope to hear approval coming from Nebraska SC.
I have had my tourist visa since 14 years of age. I have been able to renew it several times, I also got to use it several times also and I am very very happy to be able to have the opportunity of going to US for a vacation, my second son was born in the US, though my husband didn't get the chance of acquiring one..... and with so many years of having a b1/b2 visa and with so many years of waiting for my queu for the IV interview, it never crossed my mind to use it for AOS. You are right in saying that it is very hard to get tourist visa in PI so wasting it is going to be a very big mistake. What if the AOS got denied, tourist visa get canclled, then you find yourself going home crying.

i totally agree with you!
Having a tourist visa and using it to jump ahead of all of the others that have been waiting is not the thing to do and then come here and brag about it. You are not going to get the congratulary clap on tbe back from many of us here. It is not a point of doing things legal, it is what is morally correct to do. And the fact that you will be making it harder for others to ever be able to get a visa to go to the US, even if for a family member's wedding, or for any other reason.
You put yourself ahead of all others, and that is not acceptable to many of us that have seen friends waiting and waiting and waiting.
And again, if you passed the NCLEX exam before coming to the US, that is dual intent, pure and simple. You had plans to work in the US at one point or another. You are going to have to prove that it is not dual intent. Going to be very hard to do.
And be aware that internet is not anonymous, anyone can be found in just a few moments. And immigration officials do read this forum, and quite frequently. That I do know for a fact.
Hope that you can sleep well with knowing this.
If you are going thru CP, then that is one thing. But you were originally posting here on Allnurses.com about going thru AOS. And that is very different entirely. You never mentioned that you had changed to the CP.
i did not post here that i am going thru AOS, i was asking the process but that does not mean im into it. we have freedom of speech right. it started when i commented to JunRN, i am not advertising to go thru AOS. i did not expect this kind of treatment that i was judged like i did something.
i could not sleep yet coz in my country its day time, but im sure i could sleep later coz i have pure and honest intent.
We do respect that people have their own opinions and we encourage you to use them opinions but there are ways to put it across.
It is not fair to bring up routes which last year was done but this year can not be done. We try to give the best information to aid in the immigration process, which in the long run hopefully gives a good chance on the application being accepted and visas issued.
This is just my opinion. I have been at this process a couple of years with one delay or another and Yes at one time I did consider AOS briefly but after further thought decided against it as didn't want to put any risk to the gc and plan to take citizenship up in the future. I would rather go through the CP route and dot all the i's and cross all the t's properly instead of taking a gamble that could easily fail

You are posting in a thread that is discussing the AOS processing thru the Nebraska service center, this is only for those that are going the AOS route. It is not used when going thru CP. And it is specific to those that are under that center from last year. There are other threads that answer questions about the AOS process on this forum.
You never stated that you were looking for information but posted that you had your I-140 submitted, and yes, that is also used for those going thru the AOS process. When you post on a thread, it is expected that it is on the topic that is being discussed concerning the original post of the thread. Off-topic from that and anything can be assumed and often is. Do not blame me for making an assumption that many others also did, and you did not take the time to correct it. You could have done that days ago, but did not.
So please do not blame me if you have issues sleeping. I only responded to what was in this thread and under the assumption that you were staying on topic to it.
Truce?
You could have made a statement like this long ago, and it would have saved everyone. And on many of your other posts made in July and before, they were asking about the AOS. When that many are made, we can only assume one thing. And we do assume things here. If anyone clicks on any user name on this forum, you can get taken to all of their previous posts.
