Anyone's applied to the UIC fall 2014 BSN program?

January 15 deadline has passed! I am extremely nervous and excited for April 2014 to come. I've been wondering. ..why does UIC take soooo long to make decisions for our applications? I am pretty scared because I did not apply at another University, all my marbles land on this ONE basket. All I can do is hope and pray I get in. Anyone that applied, feel free to post your comments and concerns on this thread. Best of luck to everyone!

Hello! I applied for Fall 2014 as well. I also applied to Aurora and NIU. I heard they are accepting around 90-100 applicants for this fall. My GPA is good, and I have 3+ years of healthcare experience. My essays were okay I suppose, and my teacher recommendations were done by my supervisor and my micro teacher. Last year, around 800 students applied for Fall 2013. They usually accept less than 100, so they take a long time deliberating who is fit for the program! It is super competitive, so they are looking for unique students. Let's keep our hopes up :)

i am, just got my email about this totally out of no where group interview and writting session they are adding to the process. great.... FREAKING out now :/

I applied and been nervous and trying not to freak out! But just like H20POLOBRO, I received an email today about a group interview and writing sample. I am now ten times more nervous. I was invited to take part in both. Any of you all signed up? And did any of you know about this before? I went to the orientation back in November and it was NEVER mentioned.

I received an email for interview too. I am so nervous. I dont know what to expect. By the day, if you dont mind me asking then what day did u pick to go? I wonder what kinds of questions they are going to ask. And, also i wonder what we will have to write.

I have a week before the interview/writing session! I am still preparing. Good luck to everyone!! What are your guys' stats? Like GPA, experience, essays, etc. I have a 3.71 GPA (4.00 science GPA) and have volunteered/worked for a hospital for over 3 years.

I have 4.0 until last semester. Getting a bit lazy this semester. I got my essays checked by a transfer adviser. I Volunteered on and off from 2010-2013. wow..you have it in a week. Good Luck. By the way, how are you preparing? I don't know what they are going to make us write. I feel like they are going to pick from the best students depending on their interview and writing skills. I am horrified. This is the only program I applied for.
