I believe they are talking about the uocoming sept-feb. If it was for last sept-feb, then they would have told us to get one during admission application or something. I didn't get one last year either. I am hoping it is for upcoming. I am going to call today as i have a few questions for them. I will update you guys on what they tell me! Nikita.

So how are you guys preparing for nursing school? Are you guys commuting or living there? I have to commute. Do you know how the program structured? Sorry, i just thought we should also talk about how we are doing to manage everything, share ideas and thoughts. Well i am sorry guys i should have read the previous pages. You guys already talking about that. Haha. I am commuting to the campus through the blue line. It is pretty easy to get there. From the station, uic is only 5 min walk. I cannot live there so yeah plus i love living with my family. :)

thanks PaulDee! You are very encouraging to everyone on this forum. I'm sure you are going to be an awesome nurse. I still do have hope, but i also do hope that I don't have to wait another semester to apply to other nursing programs. Because I wanted to get into this program for Fall 2014, I took classes from January to December nonstop 2013. I even did 3 classes over the summer. I took one science class that i didn't need, so I had to take a science class over the summer to finish the requirement that said you had to have 3 of the 5 sciences completed. I have worked so hard, and I'm sure everyone else have too. It will be just so discouraging if I don't make it into this program. If you don't mind me asking, what other programs have you applied to? I don't know why, I couldn't find any other nursing program that I was interested in. That's the reason I didn't I apply. I did like Resurrection University. It sounded like they have a good program. I just have too many thoughts in my mind right now.

Anyone's applied to the UIC fall 2014 BSN program?
I had my interview today. I was really nervous, but i think I do okay, not too good nor too bad. But I was a little confused. I didn't see the interviewers writing much down on paper. There were not really responsive either. They were not smiling or anything, which kind of scared me that maybe they didn't like our responses. I haven't applied to any other university, and I am regretting that now. Now, its too late.

Hi, I have 4.0 until last semester. Getting a bit lazy this semester. I got my essays checked by a transfer adviser. I Volunteered on and off from 2010-2013. wow..you have it in a week. Good Luck. By the way, how are you preparing? I don't know what they are going to make us write. I feel like they are going to pick from the best students depending on their interview and writing skills. I am horrified. This is the only program I applied for.

UIC BSN nursing program for Fall 2014
Hi guys, I'm currently a student at oakton. I'm planning to apply for UIC fall 2014 program. I'm just really confused on the supplement application and the essay questions. Can you guys please give me any advice for the essays. I have gotten Nurse Care Technician training for advocate Lutheran General Hospital but I just volunteer there right now. I have been volunteering since 2010. My GPA is 4.0 right now. I'm talking my first A&P 1 right now. I have about 33 credit hours that can transfer to UIC. I'm just confused on what to write. I just don't know where to start writing. Please the people who have actually gotten accepted here, can you please give me some useful advice? the deadline for application is January 15, 2014. The question in supplement application are: What is your understanding of the role of the professional nurse and why have you chosen to pursue nursing as a career? (maximum 400 words) What qualities do you believe you possess that will help you be successful as a nursing student and later as a nurse? (maximum 250 words) Describe a stressful or challenging situation you have experienced and how you dealt with it. Looking back, would you do anything differently. Please explain. (maximum 500 words) What experiences have prepared you to work with diverse populations (e.g., racial/ethnic, age, gender, socio-economic) seeking healthcare? What is your understanding of cultural sensitivity? (maximum 500 words) Please describe a situation in which you were called upon to act in a leadership role? (maximum 400 words) What are your plans for being a full-time nursing student? Address time management, finances, and how you will balance family, work, and other commitments with full-time study. (maximum 250 words) P.S. I just need advice. Don't worry I'm not telling anyone to write my essays so no offense to anyone. I want help from people who have actually gone through this process and have been successful. THANKS A MILLION! may god bless all of you! thanks again! =)
