I got an email from a recruiter for care manager positions with Senior Bridge in my area. I've looked at their website & I think it's something I may be interested in. It's not home health care per se, it is more interviewing and documentation. The point is to prevent hospital re-admissions.
Just wondering if anyone can share personal experience with this kind of thing. Thanks!
I finally got through to someone and got the info I needed. (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST NAMES OF INDIVIDUALS PER TOS) was VERY helpful! Humana will pay $300/mo per member you see. That would include the initial survey and an additional 2 or 3 more visits. That is definitely way more than an agency would pay!!!
They need a release from the agency if you already signed (which I did) or you have to start 6 months after quitting. I am going to compose a letter to my agency today to request that release. I hadn't even begun working with them but already had a few issues of concern so I expect they will release me in order to avoid trouble with Humana. (?) The release can be an email or letterhead. I forgot to ask if the email needs to be addressed to Humana or not but will email (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) today to ask.
See if they will release you
I did submit my resume to Humana. My biggest concern is that my state isn't listed on the website as a location. I'm wondering if there will be enough clients to allow me to quit my job. I work 5 days a week now. I can't really see doing both. Ideally I'd like to work less than I am now.
