I applied for Spring admission to the University of South Alabama MSN and have not heard anything yet. The deadline was Sept 1 but I haven't heard anything and neither has two other nurses that have applied. Anyone know when they usually notify applicants? Anyone have comments on their MSN program..I am undecided as far as specialty...I'm leaning towards education or Adult Acute Care NP...All comments appreciated
What is the out-of-state tuition rate for USA?
I am thinking about the RN-MSN program for RNs with BS/BA in another field. I need to take bridge courses and wonder if I should take them at a nearby school.
For those of you who went into nursing later on in your life, is a master degree worth the time and effort? I started nursing in my late 40's (yes, this is the 8th career change). I really don't know how much longer I will practice nursing before retirement.
Graceofone~I'll send you a PM. I don't think your supposed to mention names on here.
NabiRN~for the distance education programs, USA charges in state tuition which last year was 236/credit hour and this semester I believe was 269. Plus there is a 60 online fee I think per class. Very affordable and compares to in-state here in VA.
Yes I did, I already did my background screen and my drug test. I sent off the papers that needed to be notoarized today. I noticed that the degree plan was slightly different from the one that was on the internet. I also looked up the books we will need based on the list on the website for fall 08. I hope they will update it soon to make sure I purchase the right book.

You can find a clinical site near your home. If you look on the Nursing part of the USA website you can see that USA has clinical afflications
worldwide.
